Tamagotchis! What a fun and enjoyable toy that was the latest craze in the 1990s’. What’s a Tamagotchi you ask? A “Tamagotchi is a tiny pet from cyberspace who needs your love to survive and grow”. When you take good care of your little Tamagotchi pet then gradually it will grow healthier, bigger, and more stunning each day. On the other hand, disregarding your little creature, your Tamagotchi has a chance to grow up to be cruel and hideous. It is believed that Tamagotchis crashed landed on earth from their planet, Planet Tamagotchi. A “Professor and his assistant Mikachu found them. The Professor built them little egg shaped protection cases so they could survive on earth...took them to school and started the Tamagotchi craze,” tells the explanatory, “What exactly is a Tamagotchi?”. Tamagotchis were first released in Japan on November 23rd, 1996 by Bandai (the makers of Power Rangers) and finally, a little over four months later Tamagotchis were released in the US On May 1st of 1997. However, this Tamagotchi craze died down only 2 years later after it is was released in the US, but despite our beloved pets timeframe they surely did leave a mark on millions of kids.

The top most flavorful treat of the 90s’ that everyone would absolutely desired during lunch...DUNKAROOS! Dunkaroos are a fabulous and tasty treat that come with about a dozen cinnamon crackers next to creamy and sweet icing with different flavors such as vanilla and chocolate. Dunkaroos were created by Betty Crocker in 1988 and came in ¨a variety of shapes including a circle with ´D´ and the shape of the Dunkaroos’ kangaroo mascot...Duncan, the dunkin´ daredevil¨. Unfortunately, on a dreadful Monday of 2012, ¨Betty Crocker announced that Dunkaroos...would no longer be sold on U.S. soil¨ states the passage, Dunkaroos: The 90Å› Frosted Cookie that Powered My Childhood¨. Yet, there still is hope. Dunkaroos haven't disappeared entirely, but are waiting to re-merge and bring joy to a new generation.

Cabbage Patch Kids
The trend and almost every kid's’ dream toy that eventually had 65 million sold or adopted -you guessed it- Cabbage Patch Kids in 1990 since they first were released in 1976. These dolls are “a 16-inch doll, usually with a plastic head, a fabric body, and yarn hair (unless it was bald)” states the piece, “The History of Cabbage Patch Kids”. Each Cabbage Patch Kid was unique with different eyes, face molds, hair and clothing too! This fantastic fad started with a 21 year old art student, Xavier Roberts who came up with the idea in 1976 even though legend of Cabbage Patch Kids tells it differently. “The History of Cabbage Patch Kids” tells that Legend has it that there was a young boy named Xavier Roberts who was “led by a Bunnybee through a waterfall, down a long tunnel, and out into a magical land where cabbage patch grew little children” after asked to help, young Roberts agreed to find the Cabbage Patch Kids great and loving homes. Even though these cute, little dolls can be a bit spendy their huggableness, uniqueness, and love for these dolls still live in children’s hearts.
