Restaurant and Store Review

By: Peter Prudente

The Italian Salami Sandwich, from Olive Marketplace and Cafe, was exceptional. The meat was well cooked and there were lots of greens and veggies. The presentation of the dish was messy, yet unique. The sandwich came quick and tasted great. The customer service was great as well. Olive’s cozy atmosphere invited me in as soon as I opened the door.

I also ordered the Four Cheese pizza. Although the cheese was well blended, there were spots when the parmesan was excessive. The pizza came a little slower than the sandwich, but it was definitely worth the wait. I couldn’t help but have more than one piece.

Book and game review:

By Alex Dott

Book and Game is a game store where you can buy many different games and books as well as some collectibles. The overall quantity of games is quite large as about half of the store is devoted to games and maybe a few movie/game knick knacks. The other half of the store is filled with books. Many new books can be found in the book section. Book and game is located on the corner of East main street and South 1st Ave.

GRANDMA'S KITCHEN

Restaurant Description

Grandma's Kitchen is a Mexican restaurant located at 36 S Colville St, Walla Walla, WA 99362. It is open from 11AM to 9PM.

Food

What makes the dishes at Grandma's Kitchen work so well is unique blends of fresh flavors and spices that can not be found at any other restaurant, the friendliest people ever and an amazing presentation; all at a great price.

The Chicken Burrito consists of a homemade flour tortilla, mild white cheese, crisp lettuce, rice, and refried beans. It is a very well-blended dish with no flavors that really pop out. The chicken is cooked to perfection and really juicy.

In my opinion, the nachos at Grandma's kitchen are one of the best foods in Walla Walla. Made of handmade tortilla chips, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and refried beans, this dish is the most well balanced, yummy for your tummy food ever! The nachos also come with house made guacamole and pico de gallo.

The chips and salsa are delicious. They come with two bowls of homemade salsas (green and red) which are each delightfully pleasant to taste. The red salsa is so spicy that one drop made my mouth burn for five minutes straight. The green salsa is very mild and sweet.

The hibiscus tea is a homemade beverage that they serve cold or warm. I got the cold, which tastes like a flower mixed with cherry and cranberry. Grandma's Kitchen's hibiscus tea is great for cooling down your mouth after eating the spicy salsas.
